Grant Vaughan - Designs in Wood
Grant Vaughan’s work is carved from Australian timbers
known for their fine grain and stability. Grant Vaughan's current
designs explore the interplay of separate forms: creating pieces
that go beyond the vessel aesthetic without abandoning the
fluidity and sensuality that is the signature of his work.
Grant Vaughan has exhibited widely in Australia with pieces
in many private and public collections including the National
Gallery of Australia in Canberra, Parliament House Art Collection
in Canberra and the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney. Designs are
also found in collections in the USA in the Detroit Institute
of Arts and Cincinnati Art Museum.
